[Sonic Reversal: Episode I]

Extremely well done.

I find it hard to believe that this can really be your very first flash. Also, i've watched ep. 2 and was quite impressed. Although i don't know how hard it is to make a sprite movie (as i usually just stick to fbf) i don't think that this would have taken 7 months for somebody more... experienced.

A tip for you: watch Super Mario Bros. Z... although the title may not suggest it, it has more to do with sonic than mario. This movie definately familiarized the looks of super mario bros. z, and i must say, in comparison, smbz definately brought more to the screen in under 4 months. But, the animator was definately more experienced. I suggest you pm him (sorry, i forgot his name, search the vid) and talk to him about animating tricks, a few new skills, and if you get along with him well, possibly even some custom sprites? In any case, talking to him will definately do your animating career good.

All-in-all, this was excellent for a first time submission, but i doubt it was a first time flash; there is a difference. Also, ep. 2 surpassed my expectations; although the animation was only as good as any other sprite movie, the plot.. your plot is simply amazing throughout the story. And i love how you kept everybody in character, unlike most sprite movies where sonic would see amy and be like WTFBBQSEXXXXX :D

Very good job. I am waiting for ep. 3 :)

It was actually Alvin-Earthworm, the guy who made SMBZ, that inspired me to make this flash series. I even have him written in my credits. As for this first episode, it actually was the very first flash animation I've ever made. That's why it took me so long. It was a learning process.

I haf a few things to say btw..
the animation was good
but i felt that you should have kept it zoomed out a bit more
sometimes it was hard to see what was going on

also there were times where the sticks weren't in the scene for a bit too long... its like wtf are they doing? kill the fuckin cursor! lolz.

anyways, i liked this cuz it was much more original than the other ones... which were ripoffs. liek srsly.

Sorry that it was unclear...If you notice, every time that the sticks were off screen, they had gotten hit in some serious way before they were gone for a while. Ex. Slammed against minesweeper, a block dropped on their head, punching each other in the face. They weren't ever just gone for no reason :)

a 2 for trying. Let's just say im not gonna watch ep. 2....
man nobody is gonna like ur flash if U dont appreciate it urself. i mean, srsly put some effort! Do you know, for the intro and teh first few frames... i actually thought my pc was lagging... turned out that u only animated one tenth of the frames that should have been there. Unless ur pc runs at 1mhz with half a byte of ram, you have no excuse for effortless work. Remember; all the flash gods here at NG don't leave out the effort in their work. And their flash is amazing. So you, the enduring amateur, why should you be the one to leave your flash effortless?

You can say this review is abusive, i dont care. But i just want to let you know, if you dont care about your own flash, i dont care about you.

Some things to do:
-increase frame rate.

-make sound files more clear.

-DONT LEAVE HALF AN HOUR TO READ 2 LINES OF TEXT

-don't submit a movie like this until it's FINISHED. no part two's for movies this short.

-And finally, you need to ANIMATE. Flash is meant for ANIMATING, but you made this more like... a slideshow. There weren't enough frames to create the illusion that the drawings were MOVING. You did do one thing though: you successfully emulated lag :)

Lost 2 stars because this is just one joke. People could have used this entire animation as 1/10th of another entire joke video.

Lost another star because of the 'dont judge me before you read my thinger' at the top. It exposes nub-ness. Im not saying anything about YOU in particular, the flash was pretty awesome (^.^), but im just saying its an extremely common message that screams "I AER TEH NOOBZOR!"

so anyways, ur gettin there, but it still needs some work. Im waiting for you to release your new stuff so i can see progress :D

i love seeing progress... i wish i was there to witness allen awesome or like mike swain climb the ladder of awesomeness... but that was before i met newgrounds.

So, keep it up! good work. Watch for certain things that make you lose stars :D
